If I had to recommend A SINGLE school to learn how to drive in Canada, it would be Young Star. I had only one chance to take the G full test driving exam because I used my driving experience exchange from my home country and had heard too many things about how easy that exam was to fail. That’s where the experience with this school became critical to ensure my success in getting my full license.
From day 1, my instructor Abid, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and open to any questions that I had. Every lesson was absolutely worth it and the school was even flexible enough to schedule an extra class the night right before my test which helped me a ton! They also have a lot of options that adapt to most budgets depending on what you need which is way better than being forced to pay for packages of lessons as many other schools do.
Overall, it’s fair to say that I have my G full license thanks to Young Star and to Abid. Highly recommended for people who already have a grasp of driving or completely new drivers, you will not be disappointed!

I had lessons with Hamid, incredibly nice teacher. Points out mistakes in a reasonable manner, very obviously working to get the student to learn properly. Not harsh, very patient, and remarkably good at remembering what student struggles with.
Provides easy to understand and remember explanations, and responds well to questions. Always on time for lessons, beginning and finishing very punctually.
Pricing is reasonable for all test locations and very competitive for farther locations compared to other schools. Lessons are very fairly priced.
I passed my G test on my first try with very little mistakes despite starting with little experience past my G2.

Choosing this driving school was one of the best decisions I made during my driving journey. The instructors here are not only highly skilled and professional, but also genuinely invested in their students' success. Their dedication, patience, and care set them apart.
I had the privilege of learning with Abid, and I cannot thank him enough for everything he did to help me succeed. From the very first lesson, he created an environment where I felt supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving my goal. His calm demeanor, incredible patience, and ability to explain things clearly and rationally helped me build confidence behind the wheel, even during moments when I doubted myself.
What makes Abid truly exceptional is that he teaches much more than driving skills. He teaches confidence, resilience, safety, and the importance of believing in yourself as a driver. He never lost faith in me, even on the days when I felt discouraged. His encouragement, kindness, and unwavering support motivated me to keep going and ultimately achieve something that once felt was not achievable.
I also had the opportunity to work with Nafeesa, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is kind, patient, punctual, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. Her calm approach made every lesson comfortable and effective, and her guidance helped reinforce the skills and confidence I needed to succeed. She genuinely cares about her students and goes above and beyond to help them reach their goals.
Together, Abid and Nafeesa make an incredible team. Their professionalism, compassion, and commitment to their students are evident in everything they do.
Thanks to their guidance, support, and belief in me, I was able to pass my G2 test on my first attempt. As a mature driver, this achievement means so much to me, and I will always be grateful for the role they played in helping me get there.
If you are looking not only for instructors who will help you pass your test, but for mentors who truly care about your growth and success, I wholeheartedly recommend them.
Thankyou Abid & Nafeesa - you are the best!💜💜

Amazing! Fariha thank you for teaching my son how to drive and for building his confidence!!! She taught him so much in just 5 lessons! We initially sent him to Leaside driving school and after 10 lessons with their driving instructor he felt ill prepared to drive and his self esteem had been shattered! Fariha was awesome! Calm, consistent, provided proper instruction and the necessary amount of love❤️ Thanks again Fariha!

I was shopping around for a driving school to go with for my G lessons and test and when I spoke to Abid, I knew I had to go with them. Extremely polite and accommodating.
He partnered me up with Nafeesa and to be honest, I wish I had Nafeesa as my teacher when I got my G2 as she is fantastic! I would give 100 stars if I could!
She is either early or always on time and she was never late for any of our sessions.
She is extremely patient and kind. Whenever I made a mistake, she didn't make me feel bad but rather, she wanted to discuss what happened and how to resolve it.
Today, November 28n 2025, I passed my G test with her at Port Union.

Nafeesa is an amazing driving instructor! She is a lady instructor in the Coxwell and Gerrard area, which was very convenient for me. She is extremely patient and calm, which helped me a lot. Before starting lessons with her, I had very little confidence in my driving. But ever since I began learning with Nafeesa, my confidence has improved so much. She explains everything clearly, supports you at every step, and makes you feel comfortable on the road. I’m truly grateful for her guidance. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great instructor!

Fariha is the most patient, kind, understanding, and supportive driving instructor I've ever had! She teaches in a way that helps you learn the concepts but also helps you learn good habits, which has made me become a better and safer driver. Thanks to Fariha, I passed my g2 exam on the first try (which I didn't think was possible in the GTA/Durham region), but with the skills I learned it felt almost easy. I would recommend Fariha to ANYONE that wants to learn to drive without stress, with an instructor that truly cares about you and supports you. Thank you!

From day one, she created a welcoming and calm environment that nurtured my confidence and knowledge behind the wheel. Scheduling lessons with her was always easy, and she consistently encouraged questions to make sure I fully understood any concepts or techniques. Her approach made learning to drive safe, comfortable, and stress-free. She’s the best instructor you could ask for!

Just passed my G2 thanks to this school! My driving instructor was Fariha who taught me everything I needed to know inside and outside the test. Did the 10 hour package and the scheduling was also very convenient - they truly prioritize the students and make time for them. I definitely recommend this school to anyone looking to take classes with teachers who will make you feel super safe, comfortable, and confident. Without a doubt the best choice made, and really got my moneys worth 🙂

I am so glad to have come across this school! Had my G1 for a solid year and did the 10 hour package with my amazing instructor, Fariha, who communicated so well with me and made me feel 100% comfortable during my classes. The scheduling is flexible and although I doubted being able to finish the classes in time before my test (due to my own tardiness) Fariha made sure I got my money’s worth :)) A great school overall, Fariha made me feel so safe and far more confident in my driving. I highly recommend - they will definitely be seeing me again!

My experience with Young Star Driving exceeded all expectation. I was initially very anxious, but my instructor, Abid, put all my fears to rest at our first meeting. He is an INCREDIBLE educator -- if you're able, do yourself a favour and request his services. His patience, empathy, and professionalism are beyond reproach, and he makes learning as easy, comfortable, and fun as possible.
Young Star Driving delivers on their promise of excellent, reputable service, and expert instruction. Absolutely recommend.
UPDATE: Thanks to all I learned from Young Stars Driving School, I passed my G2 on the first try! I couldn't have done it without Abid's calm and patient instruction, and I'm very grateful to the support of the entire Young Star team. Thank you for helping me get back behind the wheel and driving confidently.

I recently had the pleasure of preparing for my driving test with Young Star Driving School, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience, largely thanks to the outstanding instructor, Mr. Zubair. From start to finish, the institute provided a professional, supportive, and highly effective learning environment, but it was Mr. Zubair’s expertise and dedication that truly made the difference.
Mr. Zubair is an instructor par excellence. His patience, clear communication, and deep knowledge of driving techniques instilled confidence in me, he has an incredible ability to break down complex manoeuvres into simple, manageable steps, making parallel parking and lane changes felt second nature. What sets Mr. Zubair apart is his punctuality and genuine care for his students’ success—he tailored each lesson to address my specific weaknesses, offering constructive feedback that was always encouraging and never overwhelming.
The Driving Test Institute itself is top-notch, with a well-structured curriculum and flexible scheduling that made it easy to fit lessons into my busy life. The vehicle was modern, clean, and well-maintained, which added to the overall positive experience. However, it’s Mr. Zubair’s passion for teaching and his knack for making every lesson engaging that truly elevates this institute above the rest.
If you’re lucky enough to have Mr. Zubair as your instructor, you’re in the very best hands. Five stars all around!

I had a very positive experience with Young Star Driving School. Abid deserves special recognition for his outstanding mentorship and superb hands-on support in preparing me for the G2 road test - which I cleared on my very first attempt! His detailed feedback, encouragement, and focus on real-world driving scenarios made a big difference in my confidence and readiness. I also trained with Nafeesa, who provided helpful guidance during the learning process. Overall, I highly recommend this school, especially for those seeking a thorough and supportive training environment.

I enjoyed my experience with Young Star Driving School. Even with some prior driving experience, my instructor, Fariha, was very helpful in fine-tuning my driving for the G2 road test, while also allowing me to hone better driving skills and habits overall. I recommend Fariha to anyone who may be more stressed about driving and wants to feel more confident in their driving abilities.
