Driving Courses for 16-Year-Olds in Ontario – Get Your G2 Licence in 8 Months

If you are turning 16 and ready to start your driving journey in Ontario, Young Star Driving School offers one of the best MTO-Approved Beginner Driver Education (BDE) Courses for new drivers. This program helps young drivers qualify for early G2 road test booking in 8 months, instead of the standard 12-month waiting period.

Start Driving at 16 – What You Need to Know

As soon as you turn 16, you can take the G1 knowledge test. After receiving your G1 licence, you can begin your training immediately. Our school supports new drivers with complete guidance, including:

  • Preparing for the G1 test
  • Online theory lessons
  • One-on-one in-car driving lessons
  • Road test preparation

How to Get Your G2 Licence in 8 Months

Normally, G1 drivers must wait 12 months before taking the G2 test. However, completing our MTO-approved BDE course reduces the wait time to 8 months. This benefit makes our program one of the best choices for new teen drivers in Toronto, Thornhill, North York, East York, Scarborough, and Vaughan.

What’s Included in Our BDE Course

Our Ministry-recognized BDE program includes:

  • 20 hours of online theory learning (self-paced)
  • 10 hours of HomeLink digital assignments
  • 10 hours of private in-car driving lessons
  • MTO Certification for early G2 eligibility
  • Insurance discount upon completion

Is 8 Months Enough for New Drivers?

Yes. With proper training, many new drivers gain strong skills in 8 months. Our instructors focus on the most important skills:

  • Parking and reverse parking
  • Lane changes and merging
  • City and suburban driving
  • Highway driving
  • Road test techniques

Young Star Driving School is known for calm, professional, and one-to-one personalized training, which helps new drivers build confidence naturally.
